I found out I was pregnant 2 days after my new health insurance started, will I now be denied because of this?
Obviously, I must have conceived before my new insurance started. I am concerned that this will be grounds to now deny me saying that I had a preexisting condition. This is an individual plan that I was accepted for, NOT a group plan. I believe individual plans can deny women for pregnancy as a preexisting condition. The question is, if it were any other condition, onset could not be proven until you had seen a doctor and it had been diagnosed. I have not seen a doctor yet, should pregnancy be any different? Also, figured conception dates are not completely accurate and really there is no way of knowing when conception exactly happened. Can the insurance I was accepted for now deny me for becoming pregnant before their coverage started?
