How do I get this makeup out of the carpet?

my darling daughter took a very very dark grey, almost black, eyeshadow, ground it up & mixed it with water (& possibly some kind of body lotion) to make a black paste with which to "tattoo" her father, such fun! Unfortunately she got it dripped in some considerable quantity on her CREAM wool/nylon mix bedroom carpet. Leaving aside the fact that I am an idiot for buying cream carpet in the first place can anyone recommend a cleaning product or method I can use to clean it even a little?
