What are my tenant rights concerning black mold in home?

There is a serious black mold issue in the trailer we were going to rent to own, my children are now on numerous medications for upper respiratory problems and infections, the landlady has stated it is my problem not theirs, even though it was preexisting and tryed to be covered up before we moved in. Please help do I have a legal case and can I get our rent payments back
