Pre-exsisting condition for new job?

I am a diabetic and I am changing jobs. My new company does not offer insurance coverage for 90 days. If I do not pick up COBRA from the old job (At a ridicules amount of money) can the new company deny me due to the preexisting condition of being a diabetic? If so/not where can I find this information, HI PAA????
