Lil Wayne haters leave?

I'm not a Lil Wayne fan myself. But I remember last year how this section was filled with Lil Wayne hate rants. I also remember on YouTube most of his videos had a considerable amount of dislikes and many hate comments. Now that the storm has calmed can somebody explain to me why it has?
